Expository Text Demonstration Lesson and Coaching Assignment.docx

Context:

For this assignment I had to meet with a group of 2-3 professionals and discuss the purpose of a demonstration lesson I developed and the importance of teaching literacy using expository texts.  We scheduled times to meet for a pre-lesson orientation discussion, an observation of the lesson, and a post-lesson discussion. 

Reflection:

During the coaching assignment, I truly had the opportunity to experience the coaching profession.  I designed an expository text lesson, facilitated the times to meet with a group of professionals, lead teachers through the instructional steps in a demo lesson, and evaluated my experience of being a literacy coach.
