Context:

In EDLIT 745 we had to complete a grant proposal assignment in which we requested funding that advocated for organizational and instructional changes to promote and support literacy instruction in students’ schools and communities.  

Reflection:

My grant proposal requested funding for a literacy professional to mentor early childhood educators in planning vocabulary instruction.  By requesting a literacy specialist to guide curriculum I understand the importance and influence this professional will have on the local, state and national policy decisions of instruction presented to the students in order to benefit their understanding.
