Based on the gathered information and evidence of both my targeted students, the next cycle of instruction can be used to deepen understanding and promote further experiences in accomplishing specific goals and specific learning objectives.

Since both students showed an interest in all activities, learning experiences that involve the same materials can be used to extend thinking and may help in the process of meeting new goals. Jay showed his ability to recall three food items in The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. To further extend his thinking and recalling strategies, new SLOs can include recalling more than three items or using a bar graph to chart the amount of fruits eaten per day. Jay has also shown a growth in using expanded sentences in his language. Learning experiences that involve Jay to continue to develop his language (fluency) can include songs, the use of puppets, books, &   the dramatic play area (Beaty, pg.304).

During my time in this classroom, Christina has also shown growth in her development. To further support her in meeting the SLO of recalling three main ideas from a text, more learning experiences can include books that are made to help with recalling strategies. Christina also shows the need to expand her language skills when conversing with peers. Similar to Jay, Learning experiences that involve Christina to develop her language (expressive) also includes songs, the use of puppets, books, & the dramatic play area (Beaty, pg.304).
