Vision Statement
Within my teaching practice, I will place a high value on celebrating individual learners in the classroom. Each student comes to class with the ability to learn, as well as his/her own unique knowledge, passions, thoughts, and movements. As an educator, it is my responsibility to cultivate this uniqueness, and allow my students to grow to their fullest potential. I will provide students with a background in concepts from dance history, which I believe to be of essential value for fostering an understanding of how movement has developed across time and cultures. As a dance educator, it is my duty to create a safe environment where students can learn, communicate, and create, while imparting an understanding of healthy movement practices to prevent injury. I will pride myself on presenting fun-filled and developmentally appropriate curricula in all aspects of my practice.

I truly appreciate your vision. I also personally like the phrase "I will pride myself on..." as a passionate educator we should absolutely have pride in what we do, so that is a wonderful way to close your statement. You begin 2 sentences in your statement with "As an educator..." or "As a dance educator..." Organizationally, this may just be something to look at how necessary that may be to have that as the start of those sentences.
