On Nov. 3, 2010, our graphic arts class, under the supervision of Prof. Phillips, visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Print Study Room.  The visit to the Met.’s Print Study Room was inspirational and a great opportunity.  We were able to examine etchings of different techniques from a multitude of great artists.  We were fortunate enough to be able to view approximately 20 prints.  The prints that caught my attention the most were the Pablo Picasso prints.  Of those prints the one that stood out in particular was Picasso’s drypoint etching entitled “At the Circus”.  The etching is of a man and woman standing on the back of a horse.  I found great interest in this print because, I had been working on several of my own prints that were equestrian related.  The visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Print Study Room was a great experience.
