This is a mini lesson on how to read graphic novels in order to interpret meaning. Upon evaluating my students through formative assessments, I understood the disparities between students’ learning profiles. My cooperating teacher and I began to scaffold difficult literature units such as Beowulf by using video, pictures and written text.
