I have worked with imprisoned and high risk students as well as those who attend a Consortium school and find they have one thing in common: they are resistant to learning from someone who cannot relate to their educational needs in their “real” world. My degree in Psychology has been of immense help in reaching students, as has my talent as a spoken word artist. My impending Masters degree in English Education has brought me a tremendous amount of information as to how to educate the youth and relate curriculum to their lives. My work with students has continued to fuel my desire to be of service in the educational field.
