My name is Silvia Ruiz, I am a New York Teaching Fellow. I am certified to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (PreK – 12) under the Transitional B certificate.I currently work at Bronx Leadership Academy 2 high school. As a 10th grade Global ESL-History push-in/pull-out teacher, also 11th grade U.S. ESL-History push-in/pull-out teacher.

I graduated from the University of Florida in 2011 with a Bachelors in Health Education and Behavior. 

The reason I became a teacher was my year in City Year Miami working at Miami SouthRidge Highschool.
